"I looked at several basketball hoops before deciding on the Goalrilla III. It took me about 4 hrs to dig the 16" x 16" x 4ft deep hole...pain in the rear. The installation instructions called for 9 bags of 80lb. concrete..IT TAKES AT LEAST 10 BAGS! Don't get caught short like I did..buy 11 bags and take back what you don't use.
After those two issues installation was pretty simple if you are a do it yourselfer. Total time about 2 hrs. You will need 2 people for the pole install and 4 for the backboard installation. I would suggest backing a pickup truck near the sustem so you will have a platform to use while installing backboard. It's very heavy!
I was worried about the goal shaking like other systems I read about.The GOALRILLA BASKETBALL HOOP HAS MINIMAL TO ZERO SHAKE! It's the Mac Daddy of B-ball systems! I am 6'1 205 and dunked pretty hard (8.5 feet...too old to dunk at 10 feet) and turned around and the goal was hardly shaking at all.
We are pleased with our system and we highly reccomend spending the extra few $$$."
